🌏 Planning a Trip to Vietnam?

If you’re looking for a Vietnam Airlines review, you’re in the right place. When I booked my recent Incheon to Ho Chi Minh City round-trip, I had tons of airline options—but Vietnam Airlines stood out with its generous baggage policy and solid reputation.

So, was it worth it? Spoiler alert: Yes — mostly!
Here’s my full, brutally honest review including flight details, baggage allowance comparisons, in-flight experience, and even a little wine drama. 🍷

📅 Flight Details

Route: Incheon (ICN) ↔ Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)

Flight Number: VN405 / VN404

Aircraft: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

Class: Economy

🎒 Vietnam Airlines Baggage Allowance (Economy Class)

Let’s talk bags. Here’s what I got flying economy on the ICN–SGN route:

Type

Weight

Notes

Checked Baggage

1 × 23 kg (50.7 lbs)

Generous for economy class

Carry-On Baggage

1 × 10 kg + 1 personal item (2 kg)

Total: 12 kg

Carry-On Size

Max 56 × 36 × 23 cm

Pretty standard

Personal Item Size

Max 40 × 30 × 15 cm

Think: laptop bag, purse

✅ Great news for shoppers and overpackers. I didn’t have to stress about fitting souvenirs into my luggage.

🌍 How About Europe or the US? (International Comparison)

Baggage policies actually change by route! Here’s how ICN–SGN compares to Europe & US flights:

Route

Checked Bags

Notes

ICN ↔ SGN (Korea–Vietnam)

1 × 23kg

Standard Asia route

LHR/CDG ↔ SGN (Europe–Vietnam)

2 × 23kg

Included by default

JFK ↔ SGN (US–Vietnam)

2 × 23kg

Generous long-haul allowance

💡 Tip: If you’re flying from Europe or the U.S., you’ll likely get more free baggage (2 pieces vs. 1 in Asia). Always double-check your e-ticket and fare class.

🛫 Check-In & Boarding: Fast and Smooth

I did web check-in the night before through the official Vietnam Airlines site. Easy and fast!

At the airport:

Check-in counters weren’t crowded

Baggage drop was quick

Boarding started right on time, no delays

🚀 Honestly, the boarding process was smoother than I expected.

💺 Seat Comfort: Roomy and Surprisingly Cozy

Let’s talk seat vibes.

Legroom: Spacious! I’m 5’7” and had inches to spare

Seat Width: Comfy, not cramped

Cleanliness: Spotless with soft pillows and blankets

In-flight entertainment: Personal screen with Korean dramas, plus a USB port (lifesaver!)

🛌 I actually slept. That’s rare.

<img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="577" height="1024" src="https://bonovibes.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Vietnam-Airlines5-577x1024.jpg" alt="Vietnam Airlines economy seat legroom view showing knee space and in-seat magazine pocket from a passenger's perspective.

🍜 In-Flight Meal: Bibimbap FTW

Didn’t expect much… and was pleasantly surprised.

Main Dish: Bibimbap with gochujang and sesame oil

Sides: Fruit, warm roll, dessert

Drinks: Coffee, tea, soda, juice, wine

😂 Wine drama alert: I asked for white. Got red. Still drank it. No regrets.

🧑‍✈️ Cabin Crew Vibe: Friendly and Chill

The staff were:

🌸 Friendly and smiling

🗣️ One Korean-speaking crew member helped a lot

⚡ Quick to respond and helpful

Not as hyper-attentive as some Korean airlines, but overall very pleasant!

🛬 Return Flight Vibes: Slight Chaos, Good Recovery

Boarding at SGN was a bit wild.
Lots of locals = some queue cutting. I was like 😳

BUT! The crew stepped in and organized the gate like pros.
👏 Props to them for handling it gracefully.

✅ Final Verdict: Would I Fly Vietnam Airlines Again?

YES! For sure. Especially for budget-conscious travelers who want a balance between comfort and price.

🔥 Pros:

✅ 23kg checked bag included

✅ Spacious seating (seriously comfy)

✅ Delicious in-flight bibimbap

✅ Friendly service

✅ Modern aircraft (B787 = clean, quiet, smooth)

✅ Great value vs. low-cost airlines

⚠️ Cons:

❌ Minor drink mix-up (lol, not a biggie)

❌ Not the most luxurious service, but good enough!

📌 Pro Travel Tip (Add This to Your Checklist!):

✔️ Compare fare classes — some include 2 checked bags
✔️ Web check-in = skip long lines
✔️ Use a credit card with travel insurance just in case
✔️ Bring a neck pillow — the seats are comfy, but extra support never hurts!

Hey entertainment lovers! 😌 Today, I’m super excited to share my firsthand experience with two of Seoul’s hottest women-only shows: the ‘Wild Wild Show’ and ‘TOUCH FIVE’! Both are often dubbed the “Magic Mike of Korea” and are incredibly popular among female audiences. I couldn’t resist checking out both, and let me tell you, their unique charms and differences are distinct! This direct Wild Wild Show vs Touch Five comparison will help you choose your perfect night out.

If you’re considering a 19+ show in Korea or debating which one to see first, my experience will be your ultimate guide. Ready to dive in?

💃 Wild Wild Show: Overwhelming Dance & Intense Performance Extravaganza!

First, let me share my impressions from the Wild Wild Show, which left a truly deep mark on me.

Dance Skills & Performance Quality: The Wild Wild Show truly blew me away with the overwhelming dance skills of its performers. From powerful group choreographies to individual solo dances highlighting each actor’s unique flair, every movement felt incredibly well-structured and professional. The intense energy and perfect synergy had me gasping in admiration throughout! This is where the “Magic Mike of Korea” label truly shines.

Diverse Production: The show was constantly engaging with diverse elements like a thrilling shower performance using water, and high-energy Nanta (Korean traditional drumming). It was visually spectacular and full of exciting things to see.

Active Audience Interaction: The performers frequently came down into the audience, interacting and even playfully initiating touches. If you’re lucky, an actor might choose you to join them on stage for a special moment! This level of interaction significantly enhanced the show’s immersion.

If you prioritize dance performance excellence and dynamic staging, I highly recommend the Wild Wild Show.

🕺 TOUCH FIVE: Close-Up Interaction, But Dance Left a Bit to Be Desired

Next up, my honest thoughts on the Touch Five Show.

Intimacy from Any Seat: The biggest advantage of the Touch Five Show was definitely the feeling of closeness to the performers, no matter where you sat. The stage design and the actors’ movements seemed specifically geared towards minimizing the distance with the audience. The performers made a noticeable effort to move through the aisles and engage with everyone, creating a very intimate atmosphere.

Less Refined Dance Skills: However, to be completely frank, I did notice that some of the performers’ dance skills felt a bit unpolished. Compared to the overwhelming dance prowess I witnessed at the Wild Wild Show, there was a clear difference. It seemed clear that Touch Five prioritizes close audience interaction and a friendly atmosphere over perfect choreography.

If intimate interaction with the performers and a cozy atmosphere are what you’re looking for, then Touch Five might be a better fit for you.

🌟 Bono’s Ultimate Comparison & Your Choice Guide!

Both shows offer a unique experience exclusively for women, but their approaches clearly differ.

If you prioritize dance quality and performance spectacle: ➡️ Wild Wild Show

For intense dance, dazzling production, and overwhelming stage presence, the Wild Wild Show is your top pick. It truly feels like the definitive “Magic Mike of Korea”.

If you prefer intimate interaction and a close-up, engaging atmosphere: ➡️ TOUCH FIVE

If you want to experience performers coming close and interacting with you, no matter your seat, then TOUCH FIVE might be more appealing.

Of course, this is purely my subjective review, so your preference might vary! However, both shows are guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience for women looking for an exciting energy boost and a break from daily life.

T-Money Card is a Must: When you come to Korea, buy a T-Money card first thing! It’s a versatile card you can use on subways, buses, even taxis, and convenience stores. You get discounts compared to cash fares and transfer benefits, so it’s a definite win! You can easily buy one at the airport or any convenience store.

Subway & Bus Combos: Big cities like Seoul and Busan have incredibly well-developed subway lines, and bus routes connect even to complex areas. Use Google Maps or Naver Maps for directions – they’ll even show you transfer information, so no worries!

Walk & Shared Bicycles: For short distances, walking is the best! You’ll often discover pretty alleys and hidden gems, plus it’s great exercise. In Seoul, shared bicycle services like ‘Ttareungyi’ are also well-established, so if the weather’s nice, cycling around is a great option!

🏠 Save on Accommodation: Find Cheap Accommodation Korea!

Why spend all your money on an expensive hotel when it’s just a place to sleep, right? There are so many great value-for-money Korea travel accommodations! For a budget Korea trip, this is key.

Guesthouses & Hostels: If you’re traveling solo or with friends, guesthouses and hostels are the best. Many are clean and affordable, and you get opportunities to meet other travelers. Especially Seoul guesthouses are plentiful in popular tourist areas like Hongdae, Itaewon, and Myeongdong.

Airbnb & Long-Term Stay Discounts: If you’re a digital nomad staying in one city for more than a few days, consider Airbnb. You can get significant discounts for long-term stays, making it much cheaper than hotels. Living like a local is a bonus!

Early Bird Booking: Once your travel plans are firm, book your accommodation as early as possible. You can often get early bird discounts or promotional offers, saving you even more!

🍜 Save on Food: Eat Like a Local to Save Money in Korea!

🇻🇳

Hey guys! Are you already searching for cafes in Ho Chi Minh for your trip? LOL 🤯 Well, I’m here as your seasoned traveler who actually visited Ho Chi Minh’s Cong Cafe! Honestly, we even have Cong Cafe in my neighborhood (in Korea)… but come on, you’re in Vietnam, you have to go to the “real” Cong Cafe, right?! You can’t miss out!

And let me tell you… I’ve been an Americano-only type my whole life. Seriously, I’m the kind of person who always goes for iced Americano! 🧊 But I heard rumors that Cong Cafe was all about the vibe, so I thought, “Okay, let’s check it out!” And the conclusion is… Thao Dien Cong Cafe totally reeled me in… LOL. This Coconut Coffee seriously stole my heart! ❤️‍🔥

If you’re looking for a cool Thao Dien cafe and want to truly conquer a “vibe hotspot,” but like me, you’re just an Americano-only person (is that even possible?!), then you have to read my honest review of Ho Chi Minh Cong Cafe Thao Dien! 🏃‍♀️💨

🌳 What Makes Thao Dien Cong Cafe So Special? (A Totally Different Vibe from Downtown!)

You know how the Cong Cafes in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh are usually super crowded and chaotic? LOL. But Thao Dien has a whole different feel – it’s hip yet incredibly relaxed. Maybe it’s because a lot of expats live there, but the atmosphere is just different. Cong Cafe Thao Dien blends in perfectly with this neighborhood’s vibe!

Compared to the bustling downtown branches, this place is so much more spacious and comfortable. Instead of a busy market alley, it’s quietly tucked between lush green trees and stylish buildings, so the journey there itself feels like healing. It felt like a cozy hideout, and I’m sure anyone looking for a Ho Chi Minh aesthetic cafe will absolutely love the atmosphere!

When I arrived, the indoor area was already packed. LOL. I guess Thao Dien Cong Cafe really is a popular spot! So, I coolly headed to the outdoor seating.

And the outdoor area was seriously charming and beautiful. With the gentle breeze blowing through the green trees and the soft chatter of people, it was pure bliss! I actually thought it was even better than sitting inside! 🤩

🌿 Full of Vietnamese Retro Charm! Every Corner Was a Photo Zone! (Bonus: Souvenir Shopping!)

No matter when you go, Cong Cafe’s unique Vietnamese retro charm is always amazing. The Thao Dien branch was no exception! Vintage-looking furniture, staff wearing the signature green army-style uniforms, and thoughtfully placed props all came together to create a truly distinctive atmosphere.

Every spot was a photo zone where you could snap “life shots” (aka, your best photos ever!). The window seats, where the sunlight streamed in, were beautiful, but my outdoor spot also offered a picturesque view. For me, a solo traveler in Ho Chi Minh, it was the perfect healing spot and a photo hotspot! Sipping my Coconut Coffee under the warm sunlight, I just thought, “Ah, this is happiness!” 😌 Oh, and if you have kids, there’s even a small play area, so it’s perfect for spending some time!

By the way, did you know that Cong Cafe also sells a variety of merchandise? They had lots of great souvenir items like coffee beans, drip bags, tumblers, and eco-bags with the unique Cong Cafe logo. BUT! Honestly, when I saw the prices, I was like, ‘Is this really Vietnam??’ They were surprisingly expensive… LOL. Still, if you want to bring a piece of that cafe vibe home or give a special Vietnam souvenir to friends, don’t forget to check them out! You can enjoy a relaxing coffee and some shopping at the same time.

🥥 An Americano Lover Like Me Fell for ‘Coconut Coffee Smoothie’! (Seriously Delicious, I Swear!)

If you’re at Cong Cafe, you have to try their signature menu, right?! It’s that famous Coconut Coffee Smoothie! 😋

Honestly, I’m usually an Americano-only person. Since I always just look for a cold iced Americano, at first I thought, “Coffee with coconut…? That doesn’t sound like my style.” But then I thought, “Well, since I’m here, I should try the signature!” So I ordered it… and I totally fell for it! For an Americano purist like me to say this… it was seriously surprising, and the taste was amazing!

The blend of sweet coconut and rich Vietnamese coffee was truly fantastic. The slightly slushy texture of the smoothie was also great, and it perfectly quenched my thirst in the hot Ho Chi Minh weather! It was so good I almost chugged it and ordered another one. 😊 If you don’t usually drink coffee or are curious like me, even if you prefer Americano, you should definitely try the Coconut Milk Smoothie or other tropical fruit juices – they’re delicious too! The staff were also super friendly, so I had a great time enjoying my coffee. I really think this place should be at the top of your Ho Chi Minh cafe recommendations list!

📍 Cong Cafe Thao Dien Location & How to Get There (Pro Tips!)

Cong Cafe Thao Dien is in the Thao Dien, District 2 area of Ho Chi Minh. It’s a bit far from downtown (District 1), but you can easily get there by Grab taxi or motorbike! If traffic isn’t bad, you can arrive even faster, which is super convenient! Thao Dien is a really hot neighborhood in Ho Chi Minh lately, with lots of pretty restaurants, cute shops, and galleries, so checking out the area before or after your cafe visit is super fun! If you want a special experience during your Ho Chi Minh trip, this is a must-do! I highly recommend dedicating a whole day to exploring Thao Dien! 💕 They call it the ‘Seongsu-dong of Ho Chi Minh,’ so if you like that vibe, it’s an absolute must-visit!

Hey everyone✌️ Today, I’m dropping a story about my journey to Mui Ne that was small, but seriously packed with genuine good vibes! I was literally the only one from my side of the world in the van, but the atmosphere was just so chill and friendly💛. I’m talking about zoning out in a super quiet van, getting looked after at the rest stop, and even getting “rescued” by the driver! LOL.

Plus, I’ve packed in all the booking tips and price comparisons, so if you’re heading to Mui Ne, you absolutely HAVE to check this out! It’s gonna save your trip, trust me!

✈️ Ho Chi Minh → Mui Ne: How Do You Even Get There?! (Your Ultimate Guide!)

Okay, so most travelers heading to Mui Ne from Ho Chi Minh usually stress about these four options:

Method

Pros

Cons

① Sleeper Bus

Super cheap, lots of time slots

You might have to transfer, it’s crowded, and pretty confusing

② Day Tour

Guide + sightseeing included

No overnight stay, super packed itinerary, exhausting

③ Private Van

Exclusive ride, super private

Can be pricey if you’re not in a big group (around $45-70 USD/pp)

④ Vexere Van (9-seater)

Hotel drop-off + quiet + amazing value for money

Popular time slots get booked up super fast (gotta be quick!)

At first, I was totally thinking of taking the sleeper bus. I mean, cheapest and most options, right? But then I saw some other blogs’ reviews and got a major shock 💥. They were talking about cramped spaces, transferring in the middle of nowhere… I was like, “Nah, I can’t deal with that!” That was a hard NO for me. My precious travel time deserves better, you know?

So, in the end, I decided to book a 9-seater van through the ‘Vexere’ app, which is what the locals actually use! And honestly, making that choice was a stroke of genius ✨. Seriously, pat on the back for me! (pats self on back) Why was it a stroke of genius? I’ll tell you all about it below! It was seriously amazing.

✈️ Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne: Who Knew It Could Be This Relaxing?! (No Joke, Pure Vibes!)

That day, I was the only one from my own country in the van. Everyone else was a mix of locals and other international travelers… but the atmosphere was just so peaceful, quiet, and even super warm and friendly… it was pure healing 🥹💛. Sounds like a lie, right? But it’s true!

Since it was a 9-seater van, there weren’t many people, and it felt super spacious and comfy. It’s totally incomparable to those packed buses. We even stopped at a highway rest stop in the middle of the trip, so I could use the restroom and grab some snacks. And the best part? It was a VIP service that dropped each person right in front of their hotel! No need to lug my luggage around and hail another taxi. It was so convenient, especially since I arrived at night. This is the real deal, guys!

📲 Where Do You Book? (Your Complete Vexere App Guide!)

✔️ The site locals use a lot: [Vexere]

https://vexere.com

I booked using the Vexere app! don’t worry if you get nervous about foreign languages! If you turn on Chrome’s translation feature, you can book super fast even if you don’t speak the language. Since it’s an app that locals actually use, I felt really confident about it.

Departure: Ho Chi Minh

Arrival: Mui Ne

Vehicle Choice: You can choose from various vehicles like 9-seater, 24-seater, 34-seater, etc. (I strongly recommend the 9-seater!)

Price: Even for the same route, the price can vary depending on the time slot and vehicle type! Make sure to check! My 9-seater was a bit pricier, but it was totally worth it.

Check Ratings: You can check the ratings for each vehicle, which makes choosing a lot safer. It’s a universal rule to pick the highly-rated ones!

Discount Coupons: They often have discount coupons for specific time slots, so make sure to check when you book! I even got a discount and saved some cash – total win!

💡 Vexere Booking Method (Super Easy! Just Follow These Steps!)

Search Vexere on Chrome or install the Vexere app from your app store! (I recommend using the app!)

Enter your departure/arrival points! (e.g., Ho Chi Minh → Mui Ne)

Select your date, time slot, and vehicle type (van/bus)! (Strongly recommend the 9-seater van!)

Enter passenger names and contact info, then go ahead and book!

Once your booking is complete, a confirmation email or text message will arrive immediately! (This will have your ticket code and all your boarding info.)

🚐 Actual Ride Review: Comfort + Ultimate Vibe Check ✨ (You Seriously Gotta See This!)

Since there were only 5 people including me, the van was seriously so quiet and peaceful✨. It truly felt like real healing. The seats were super plush and comfy, and the air conditioning was just right – not too cold, not too hot, just perfect! It honestly felt like riding in a VIP shuttle! Some vans even have massage seats! (Note: This might not be available in all vans, so just a heads up!)

📸 The View from the Van Was Part of the Journey Too! (Perfect for Zoning Out)

The scenery outside the window was really beautiful. Green nature and occasionally glimpses of local villages… It was so nice just to zone out and stare out the window with no thoughts. I even took a few pictures, and they looked like paintings! (And when I say paintings, I mean like, legitimately artistic!)

“It was the perfect view to just zone out and chill… felt like all my stress was melting away!”

⛽ A Small Warm Moment at the Rest Stop (Seriously, I Was Touched ㅠㅠ)

We made a quick stop at a small rest area on the highway, and I was just waiting by myself near the front of the van. Then, I noticed the locals subtly looking out for me, the only visitor there ㅠㅠ Even though they didn’t say anything, their eyes had this vibe… like, “Time to get on the van?” or “Are you okay?” That look of genuine care✨. Their eyes were just so warm… it was genuinely a heartwarming moment for me as a traveler! LOL. Later, I realized they were actually other passengers on the same van. Aww… real gems!

📱 A “Missing Person” Incident(?) on the Way Back LOL (Driver Turned Hero!)

Okay, so on the way back from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh, my phone suddenly broke! I couldn’t receive calls from the van driver, and I was in total panic mode. I was like, ‘Oh no… am I gonna get lost?’ But guess what? The driver actually went into my hotel lobby, searched for me directly, and even asked the staff my name to find me! LOL!

When he finally found me… 😭 I almost cried because he was just so incredibly kind. I was about to get lost all alone in a foreign country, but the driver found me till the end! Isn’t he like, a total hero?! Seriously, a tsunami of emotions just washed over me. Vexere drivers’ service is the real deal too!

💡 The Verdict in a Nutshell (Mui Ne-bound friends, just remember this!)

“If you want to go from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne quietly and comfortably, Vexere app + 9-seater van is the absolute truth❗” Seriously, no exaggeration, it’s the real deal. You won’t regret this combo!

Hey guys! Wanna know the coolest hidden bar in Bangkok Chinatown right now?
Let me tell you about Ba Hao Tian Mi—a total game-changer.

You probably thought Bangkok Chinatown was just about street food and night markets, right? Well, same. But then I found Ba Hao Tian Mi Bangkok Chinatown, and everything changed. I mean, BLACKPINK Lisa shot a music video here—need I say more? When I saw it, I literally screamed, “I need to go there,” and almost booked a flight on the spot 😂

🎬 Chinatown’s Plot Twist: The Secret Alley You Can’t Miss

Here’s where things get crazy. Just step one block off the main street and… BAM! It’s like stepping into a whole different world. Suddenly, it’s calm, hip, and full of artsy hidden gems. Like, what is this place?!

There’s no loud music or huge crowds—just a peaceful, aesthetic alley packed with cool little shops. I swear, as soon as I walked in, I knew: “Okay, this place is a whole vibe. I need to stay here next time.” It’s the kind of place where you want to take a hundred photos, breathe in the mood, and just exist. At night, the lighting turns soft and glowy, like a film set. It’s surreal.

🍸 Where Art Meets Drinks: Ba Hao Tian Mi (八號甜蜜)

Hidden deep inside that stylish alley is Ba Hao Tian Mi, one of the coolest hidden bars in Bangkok. The name sounds kind of fancy, right? I asked my friend who speaks Chinese—“Ba Hao” (八號) means “Number Eight,” which is considered super lucky in Chinese culture. Love that ✨

At first glance, it looks like just an old building. I was honestly like, “Wait… this is it?” But once you step inside—OMG. Total jaw-drop moment. It’s like stepping through a portal.

🖼️ Vintage + Modern + Chinese Vibes = Interior Goals

The inside? Freaking gorgeous. It’s vintage meets Chinese-style meets artsy gallery. Paintings on the walls, unique furniture, perfect lighting… It’s like stepping into a curated art space. Every single corner is camera-ready. I legit couldn’t stop taking pictures the moment I walked in. Sent them to friends immediately. Their replies? “Where is that?!” and “So aesthetic!”

Honestly, it’s more than just a bar. It feels like a healing space. Calm, artsy, and intimate.

🥂 Getting Tipsy on Vibes (Not Just Booze)

Ba Hao Tian Mi isn’t just for drinks. From the moment you enter, you’re hit with this cool, artsy energy. The staff are so welcoming too—super warm vibes all around. As soon as I sat down, I totally got why this place is such a hit. You feel like you’re part of something special.

💚 Signature Cocktails & Sweet Pairings That Hit Different

Let’s talk drinks. The Jade Orchid cocktail? A literal work of art. So pretty, it almost hurt to drink it 😂 It had flower petals and the perfect amount of sweetness. Not too strong, so it’s perfect even if you’re not a heavy drinker. I was hooked from the first sip.

Then came dessert. I had the Tian Mi Tart—sweet but not too much. It paired with the cocktail like a dream. I was honestly more tipsy from the ✨aesthetic energy✨ than the alcohol.

The tables have soft candlelight, and it’s super chill. Not noisy at all. I stayed alone for a while, and it felt so cozy—not awkward at all! It’s the perfect spot to just relax solo or enjoy a quiet, romantic night. Honestly, this place could turn a first date into a love confession moment. No joke.

📍 How to Get to Ba Hao Tian Mi (All the Info You Need!)

📌 Address
8 Ba Hao, Phlab Phla Chai, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok 10100, Thailand
(👉🏼 Google Maps)

🕕 Opening Hours
Every day from 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Closed on Tuesdays!
Double-check before you go, or you might find the door locked!

✨ Vibe
Chill, artistic, cozy. Perfect for dates or solo reflection time. Instagram gold.

🍹 Must-Try Menu
Jade Orchid cocktail + Tian Mi Tart = perfection.

📱 Official Instagram
@bahao_tianmi

💌 Final Thoughts: Why You Have to Go

So here’s the deal: if you’re heading to Bangkok and want that secret spot feel, the Chinatown + Ba Hao Tian Mi combo is unbeatable. It’s not your typical tourist place—it’s better.
You’ll feel it as soon as you sit down.
You’ll remember it when you leave.
And you’ll 100% wish you could stay longer.

📸 Go for the pics, stay for the vibe. Don’t miss it.

🇻🇳 This Is ALL You Need to Pack for Your Ho Chi Minh Trip. Seriously. Real Essentials + Apps From People Who Actually Went 💥 (Seriously, You’ll Regret It If You Miss This…)

“Ugh, I wanna go to Ho Chi Minh right now, but I have no idea what to pack!”

If you’re dreaming of a solo trip to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam while caught up in your busy life, you’ve probably had this thought. I get it — I’ve been there too! So I made this checklist based on real solo travel experience. No fluff, no Pinterest-pretty nonsense — just what actually worked!

📱 Must-Have Travel Apps for Ho Chi Minh

Your phone is basically your best travel buddy. These apps saved me from getting lost, overpaying, and feeling stuck. Get them before you fly!

✨ Quick Overview:

Grab: Uber of Southeast Asia. Taxi, bike, food delivery. Use it constantly.

Google Maps: Great for directions, not for reviews.

Flightradar24: Track your flight & see if Fast Track is needed (smart move!).

Google Translate / Papago: Communicate anywhere. Download offline packs.

Klook / KKday: Book eSIMs, tours, Fast Track in advance.

Vexere: Intercity buses & vans — the 9-seater van? Chef’s kiss.

💡 Pro Tip: Screenshot your bookings. Wi-Fi isn’t everywhere, and it saves time at check-in & tour meetups.

🧳 The Real Ho Chi Minh Packing Checklist

I cut out the useless stuff and focused on what actually helped. These are the travel must-haves — nothing more, nothing less.

🛂 Travel Docs & Money Essentials

Passport (6+ months validity) → Save a photo to cloud!

Travel Insurance → For emergencies, delays, peace of mind

eSIM or SIM Card → Instant internet via Airalo, Klook, etc.

Flight & Hotel Confirmations → Screenshot everything

Master/Visa Card x2 → One backup in case of failure

Cash → Vietnam still loves cash. Bring some in advance.

Vietnam Wallet → Helps organize all the crazy denominations

🧴 Health, Safety & Skincare

Shower Filter → Trust me, your skin will thank you

Mosquito Repellent → Spray + roll-on combo is best

Sunscreen → Sweat-proof or mineral formula

Medications → Cold/fever, painkillers, digestive pills (3–4 of each)

🔋 Tech & Solo Travel Gear

Power Bank (Fast Charge) → You’ll use your phone constantly

3-Fold Selfie Stick (with remote) → For solo shots & reels!

MagSafe Ring Holder → For filming or hands-free video calls

🧼 Hygiene Musts

Wet & Dry Wipes → For food, street eats, restrooms

Hand Sanitizer → Obvious but vital

💡 These all fit in carry-on. You’re not overpacking, just over-preparing like a legend.

✨ Real TMI Travel Tips from Me (Don’t Learn the Hard Way)

🚨 Watch Out for Taxi Scams Even Grab drivers can be sketchy. Always book through the app and confirm the plate number. NEVER take a ride from someone who walks up offering one.

🛂 Strategize Fast Track at the Airport Use Flightradar24 to check congestion for your arrival. If it’s stacked? Book Fast Track. Worth it.

🛵 Motorbike Taxis = Vibes Use GrabBike at least once — it’s chaotic but unforgettable.

💬 Final Thoughts: Pack Smart, Travel Happy

Ho Chi Minh is beautiful chaos — in the best way. But solo travel means you handle everything. So this list? It’s your backup squad.

Hey fam, heading to Mui Ne soon?
But deciding where to stay is low-key stressful, right? 😂

I actually stayed at two totally different resorts in Mui Ne:
one overflowing with healing vibes and top-tier convenience,
and the other? Packed with activities but… kinda wild vibes too 🌪️

Whether you’re solo, traveling with friends, or on a romantic getaway, this review is a must-read before you hit that “book now” button!

✨ Quick Summary: Bamboo vs. Pandanus

Bamboo Village

Pandanus Resort

Location

Super close to city center

Far from city – taxi needed

Vibes

Calm, clean, healing energy

Energetic, activity-packed

Best for

Solo travelers & couples

Active families & introverts

My rating

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

⭐⭐⭐☆☆

💖 Bamboo Village Resort: Aesthetic + Convenience Maxed Out!

So, why did I snatch up Mui Ne Bamboo Village Resort for my Mui Ne stay? Just one reason! It’s SOOOO close to Mui Ne city! Fishing Village, all the bomb food spots, you can seriously walk everywhere. For a solo traveler like me who just wants to roam freely, it was a total win!

If you want Insta-worthy shots + healing near Mui Ne city, this is it!

The moment I opened the resort door, seriously… the palm trees and garden? Insane! It was just like a painting. The super clean and tidy facilities got an ‘A+’ from me right away. Room condition? Absolute perfection. The panoramic window view of the palm trees and pool? Mui Ne aesthetic resort photo zone 100% agreed! 📸

Even though Bamboo Village is near the city, once you’re inside the resort, zero noise. Just birds chirping, wind blowing, and palm leaves rustling. Pure chill. Seriously! Walking around the resort alone at dawn? Pure healing. Just chilling by the pool, totally spacing out? That’s how you get real healing vibes!

And the breakfast restaurant being right by the beach? Just insane. Eating while feeling the cool sea breeze? Mind-blowing. Everything was so calm and cozy, I could just focus on myself without any complicated thoughts. Mui Ne Bamboo Village is a super high recommend for anyone who wants a real ‘chill trip’ in Mui Ne. You won’t regret it!

🌪️ Pandanus Resort: Activity Heaven… But Wild Vibes?

Okay, now let’s talk Mui Ne Pandanus Resort. I was legit shook because it’s SOOO different from Bamboo Village! Why did I pick this one? Just one reason! They said it had TONS of activities! Yoga, tennis, cooking classes, bike rentals… I was hyped to do it all inside the resort!

But the moment I got there, I was like, ‘Oops!’ It’s like, super far from Mui Ne city. Calling a cab took forever, and the round-trip fare? Money just vanished. If you’re like me and want to hit up city restaurants and shopping, this is a real skip. The travel stress was too much ㅠㅠ

They said it had a ton of activities, but due to personal stuff, I only managed to do the yoga class. That was such a bummer. BUT, turns out I was the only one, so it became a 1:1 private lesson! Total win-win! LOL The instructor totally checked my posture, and I was super focused on yoga. 🧘‍♀️ That part was legit!

But then at night… ugh… My room was right next to the bar, and the performances went wild ’til super late… 🎧 Couldn’t sleep. Woke up feeling like a zombie. If you want a quiet chill, you gotta pick your room location super carefully.

And… I seriously almost had a heart attack. I saw three king-sized cockroaches in the hallway!!! 😱 Luckily, they were all… dead? So I was like, ‘Phew… that’s a relief…’ (Is that even a relief? LOL) Saw so many geckos too. Okay, it’s a tropical area, so it’s ‘nature-friendly,’ I guess…? But for me, it was low-key terrifying…

But honestly, if you’re gonna legit do ALL the activities, Pandanus Resort could totally be a real value-for-money Mui Ne resort. If you like the ‘all-inclusive’ style where you do everything inside the resort, it might not be bad! (But be prepared for bugs, just sayin’!)

🏆 Final Verdict: Which Mui Ne Resort Wins?

Your Priority

Go With…

Easy city access

Bamboo Village

Healing & quiet

Bamboo Village

Activities everywhere

Pandanus

Budget-focused

Pandanus

Bug-free experience

Bamboo Village

Bono’s One-Line Conclusion 💬

Mui Ne Bamboo Village is perfect for a quiet, healing vibe and getting those aesthetic Insta-worthy shots. Pandanus is great if you want to max out on activities all day long within the resort. ✨ Pick the resort that’s a perfect fit for YOUR travel style!

Final Word ✈️

Mui Ne was seriously a hidden gem of a travel spot. The unique landscapes with both desert and beach, and not too many people, made it even better for healing. I hope you too bring back tons of healing and memories! If this comparison helped you even a little, 💬 Tell me your Mui Ne resort pick in the comments! Info from friends who’ve been is welcome too! 🫶

Okay but seriously—if you’re coming to Korea and not thinking about skin treatments while traveling… are you even doing K-travel right? 😂

Besides binging K-dramas and eating your weight in tteokbokki, a lot of visitors squeeze in a skin treatment (or two!) while they’re here. And honestly? I totally get it. Skin treatments in Korea for tourists are super popular for a reason.

💡 Why Do Tourists Get Skin Stuff Done in Korea?

It’s way cheaper than in the US or Europe

Clinics here use fancy, high-tech machines

You can often walk in or get same-day appointments

And let’s be real—who doesn’t want that K-glow?

Some people even plan their whole trip around their beauty schedule. No joke.

💉 What I Actually Do (and Don’t)

Let me be honest—I’m not a skincare junkie. Anything super strong like harsh lasers? Pass. 🚫

✅ Baby Botox (a forever thing for me)

I get botox between the eyebrows like every few months. It helps me look less angry lol, and it’s over in like 10 minutes.

Fun fact: There’s Korean-made and imported botox. Korean ones are cheaper and still work great. That’s what I use.

✅ Chill Treatments Only

If I feel like my skin’s looking sad, I’ll do:

Laser toning (gentle kind)

Hydrating facials

Soothing treatments

No trendy, aggressive stuff. Just what my skin needs, when it needs it.

🤷‍♀️ What Didn’t Work for Me

I’ve tried Shurink and Inmode (those non-invasive face lifting things). Meh. Didn’t really do much for my skin. Maybe better if you have thinner, looser skin.

✂️ Laser Hair Removal – What I’m Loving Now

I already finished underarm laser hair removal—5 sessions and done! Now I’m doing Brazilian laser at Morris Clinic in Gangnam. And let me tell you, it’s been a game changer. ✨

The place is super clean, the doctor explains everything, and I feel comfortable the whole time.

👉 A doctor friend told me this (hot tea alert):

Some places keep the laser really weak so you don’t see results fast… and have to keep coming back 🙄

But Morris doesn’t do that. They actually do it right. Bless.

📸 WARNING: Don’t Ruin Your Travel Photos

Please, PLEASE don’t get a skin treatment right before:

A wedding

A photoshoot

A hot date

Because some treatments leave your skin red, puffy, or blotchy for a few days. Sometimes a whole week.

✨ Plan smart. Give yourself 2–3 days before any important camera moments.

📲 How Do You Even Book as a Foreigner?

Don’t worry—you don’t need to speak fluent Korean. Most clinics use KakaoTalk or Instagram DMs to take appointments.

Clinic

Booking Method

English Support

Vibe

Muse Clinic

KakaoTalk / Insta DM / Website

Yes (site in English too)

Chill, fast, easy to walk in

Morris Clinic

Insta DM / KakaoTalk

Some basic English

Private & pro, but book early!

Muse is good if you’re just winging it. Morris is 🔥 but you need to book ahead—like, a week or two in advance.

Muse Clinic: 👉 https://en.museclinic.co.kr/

Morris Clinic: 👉 https://www.instagram.com/morrisclinic_official/

Muse Clinic Location (Google Maps)

Morris Clinic Location (Google Maps)

🌟 Tourist-Friendly Treatments I’d Recommend

Botox (frown lines, jaw, forehead) – cheap, fast, reliable

Laser hair removal – especially underarms & Brazilian

Laser toning – for dull skin or spots

Hydration facials – get that glowy K-drama look

Most of these take less than 40 minutes. You can literally pop in between shopping and café hopping.

💬 My Final Thoughts

Getting skin treatments in Korea as a tourist can be fun and affordable—just don’t overdo it. Go for stuff that’s proven, gentle, and suits YOUR skin.

Also: plan ahead if you have big events or cute photos to take.

Even something as simple as Botox can cause side effects for some people—so always choose your treatments carefully, even if they seem minor!

If you’ve got questions about skin treatments in Korea for tourists, drop them in the comments. I gotchu 💕

🌍 Foreigner-Friendly Tips You’ll Be Glad You Knew

Han River paths are amazing, but exits are confusing!

The app works in English but signs on the road are often in Korean

Check your bike before riding (tires, brakes, seat!)

Each ride has a 1-hour limit, or you get charged extra

You must return the bike to a Ddareungi station – don’t leave it anywhere

🌬️ My Experience: It Started as Healing, Ended as a Workout 😂

At first, everything was perfect.
I was riding from Yeouido toward Banpo, wind in my hair, listening to lo-fi vibes.
Totally romanticizing my life. ✨

But then I realized…

“Wait… where’s the way back up???”

🌀 Finding an Exit from the Han River = Impossible (Almost)

You’d think there’d be stairs or ramps everywhere, right? Nope.

Some exits only go to parking lots

Signs are tiny and only in Korean

Elevators are hidden in weird corners

Google Maps doesn’t show stairs

I kept going in circles, dragging my bike around

40 minutes.
Wandering. Sweating. Laughing at my own life choices.
A guy even asked if I was okay 😭

🏞️ But… the views were worth it.

I mean, the sunset over the Han River? Unreal.
The bike + golden sky combo? Pure Pinterest-core.
Even though I was mildly panicking, I still managed to take some killer pics 📸

📍 Best Routes for First-Timers (Especially Solo Travelers)

Route

Why You’ll Love It

Yeouido → Ttukseom

Long riverside path, amazing views, tons of stations

Seongsu → Seoul Forest

Cute cafés, chill vibes, great for solo travel

Gyeongui Line Forest Road

Urban meets nature, good for short relaxing rides

Banpo → Jamsil

Sunset over the bridge + peaceful ride at night

💡 Final Thoughts: Ride the Bike, But Know the Exit

Ddareungi is 100% worth it for exploring Seoul

You don’t need to speak Korean or have a Korean phone number

But PLEASE know your route back before you ride too far 😭

Treat it like a mini-adventure – because it really is!
